The Lady Warriors traveled to North Manchester last night for a quick, but competitive 3 set loss. Winamac led a good chunk of points in the second set, but a bad run of serve-receive receptions countered those points on the scoreboard. The Warriors looked much better all around than some previous games, sending only 4 free balls in the first set and ending the night with almost all positive hitting percentages. However, too many serve receive errors forced us to minimize the front row attacks that give us our edge.
On the night, Maggie Smith had 3 aces, 7 kills and 4 blocks and 4 digs. Kaya Campbell had 8 digs, while Ella Gearhart added 5. Alyssa Villanueva had 4 kills and 2 blocks. Senior setter, Aubrey Gearhart, ended the night with 13 assists.
