The Warriors traveled to Knox on Saturday night and defeated the Knox Redskins by a score of 66-57. After the victory, the Warriors are in second place in the HNAC with a conference record of 3-1. Leading the scoring for the visiting Warriors was Calvin Larkin with 35 points. Calvin scored 14 of his points in the fourth quarter while also hitting 10 out of 10 from the free throw line down the stretch. In doing so, Calvin surpassed the 1,000 career point mark and currently has 1,001 points to his credit. Also scoring for the Warriors were Will Larkin with 12, Austin Brandt with 9, Sam Griffeth with 8, and Wilson Smith with 2 points. The Warriors put on a great defensive effort early in the game before the Redskins battled back. Tyson Johnson took on the challenge of guarding Knox’s leading scorer and held him below his season average. The JV Warriors also earned a big victory over the Redskins. The next game will be this Friday, January 11th, against the North Judson San Pierre Blue Jays.
